On Friday, the boys of Indian Creek pulled out their first win after two weeks of losing. The boys kicked off the game with a 32-yard touchdown from Blake Roar. Cory Goodrich followed up with a 25-yard touchdown pass, and Blake Roar finished up the first half with a 31-yard touchdown. The score 20-0, Indian Creek.
Second half started with a bang, Blake Roar ran a 93-yard touchdown on kick-off return, but the Jets answered with 7-yard touchdown from Leishman. Robert Coppa (freshman) scored his first varsity touchdown in the second quarter, a 4-yard run. The final score 33-14. “I think we did a good job of mixing our offense up and after that first drive, I thought our defense played well,” Connor said. “I thought we controlled Union Local’s offense and got back to playing defense like we’d played early in the season.” This week the boys take on Martins Ferry at home for their senior.
